Pet CPR and First Aid

Do you know what to do in the event your pet is injured?

Our Certified Pet First Aid Instructors will teach you the steps in taking care of your pet in the event of an emergency. We will present the techniques needed to control your pet while still being able to show the love and support needed to treat their injuries until proper medical help can be obtained.

Pet First Aid is a class that is intended for anyone that is interested in caring for their pet during an emergency.

What will you get out of a Pet First Aid & CPR Course?

Each Pet First Aid class is taught by Certified Instructors. Each class will cover the care, treatment and handling techniques of injured dogs and cats. Instructors will teach you all the steps in Pet CPR, rescue breathing, bandaging, splinting and anything else needed to comfort your pet in the case of an emergency. All students get a pet first aid and CPR reference manual, a Pet First Aid and CPR certification card showing completion of the course as well as a Certificate of Completion.

The class is intended for dog and cat lovers with little to no pet first aid experience. This class is fun and informative for teens and adults with plenty of individual instructor time. Students will learn in a classroom environment and have the opportunity to practice various hands-on skills with CPR dog mannequins. For the First Aid portion, you practice bandaging and other first aid techniques on them. The class is scheduled for about 4 hours of instruction including practical skills.

  • How to help a choking dog or cat.
  • How to check a pulse on a dog or cat.

  • How to do a physical assessment (snout to tail)
